Michigan Concrete Driveway and Patio Project Gallery

This gallery shows concrete driveways, patios, stamped and stained work, and commercial lots poured by GB Cement (GatlinByrd Cement) from our Ypsilanti shop at 8786 Tamarack Ln. Mixes and base prep are built for Michigan freeze-thaw. Call (734) 323-8882 if a photo looks like the job you want bid.

Photos here are finished jobs, not stock. We do not add captions we cannot stand behind. For the service that matches a photo, start with concrete driveways or stamped concrete. Process and timing notes live on the concrete blog.

What you are looking at

Most residential photos are driveways, walks, and patios. Decorative photos are stamp patterns and stain on those same slabs. Commercial photos are lots and pads at a larger joint layout. The finish changes. The sequence does not: drainage, base, forms, pour, finish, cure.

Southeast Michigan winters push water into pores and then freeze it. A gallery shot that still looks clean after a few seasons is usually air-entrained mix, a drained base, and joints that were tooled or sawed on time. A pretty stamp on a puddle fails the same way a gray slab does.

Where the work sits

We are based in Ypsilanti and run crews through Ann Arbor, Canton, Novi, Dexter, Jackson, and the other cities listed on this site. Parks and street frontages nearby, including Gallup Park in Ann Arbor, sit on the same freeze-thaw and clay-loam soils as most of the lots we pour. That is why we talk about air and drainage on a gallery page, not just color.

How to use the gallery

Pick the surface, not the filter. If you want a driveway, say driveway. If you want a stamped patio, say stamp and patio. Send a photo of your existing slab with the city and whether you want repair or replacement. We walk the job when the base is unknown.

Do not assume a photo’s city from the image alone. Ask. We will tell you if that finish is a good idea for your lot and your permit.

Questions

Are these real GB Cement jobs? Yes. They are project photos from our Michigan work, not stock.

Can you match a pattern I see here? Often. Stamp and stain still have to drain and survive winter. We will not sell a pattern that sits in a puddle.

How do I get a bid? Call (734) 323-8882 or use the contact form. Tell us the city and the surface.
